Bath City. Part-time and bottom of the Blue Square Premier, things are looking bleak for them. After their successful campaign last season when they finished in 10th, the highest part-time team in the country, and above quite a few professional outfits, they seem to be suffering a bit of the second season blues.
Manager Adie Britton has done brilliantly since taking over in 2008, guiding the team to promotion and then that 10th place finish in the top tier of the non-league game. This season however they sit with only eight points and have just been controversially knocked out of the F.A. Cup by Dagenham and Redbrigde. Who can help them?
Then, from stage left enters Won Jae Yang. Yang, a 17 year old from South Korea thinks he should take over from Britton in the Bath City hot-seat. So much so, in fact, that he has sent the club hundreds of e-mails on the subject ranging from (in incredibly broken English) how he would utilize certain players all the way to his use of the 4-2-3-1 system. This is a little reminiscent of John Boileau’s tongue-in-cheek attempt to become Middlesborough manager back in 2005 but unlike Boileau it is difficult to say whether Yang is taking the mick or not.
Either way instead of replying to these e-mails Bath City has taken the decision to put the best bits on their official website so we can snigger at them. You can read them all on the club’s website, but here are a few of my favourites;
1. If Bath City becomes for aggressive, I believe that it can High Level Team.
Aggression, like it.
2. Me research of your team about 20 about teams in middle of course British 5 league teams investigates their tactical system systematic financial condition to investigate and the party new team puts out and appear the Germany 4-2-3-1 tactical systems which is researching to be hitting to take charge of the team, wants.
Sometimes tactical systems just go over my head.
3. But unconditional 4-4- 20,000 there is not many sides development which adheres.
“Err Ref? How many players are they allowed?”
4. However, we will be taking the plunge dominated midfield.
I honestly can’t even begin to think what he meant to say. Truly outstanding.
